Terms of Service

The rules for using TicketHandoff.

Last updated September 16, 2026

Who we are

TicketHandoff (“TicketHandoff,” “we,” “us”) runs tickethandoff.com, a website that helps current Texas A&M students find each other to hand off student football tickets. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms.

TicketHandoff is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Texas A&M University or the 12th Man Foundation.

Who can use TicketHandoff

You must be a current Texas A&M student with a working tamu.edu email address, and at least 18 years old or have a parent or guardian’s permission.

You may have one account. The information you give us (name, phone number, email, and the details you give Stripe to get paid) must be accurate and your own.

What we do, and what we don’t

We match students who can’t use a student ticket with students who want one. When a buyer accepts an offer, we place a hold on their card for the full price through our payment processor and give the seller the buyer’s tamu.edu email so they can send the ticket.

We do not own, sell, or transfer tickets. Every ticket transfer happens in the official 12th Man Foundation app, between the two students. Sellers upload a screenshot of the transfer, which we review. We charge the buyer’s card, and Stripe pays the seller, only when the buyer confirms the ticket arrived or we verify the seller’s screenshot. Sellers must mark the ticket sent by the handoff deadline: 24 hours before kickoff, or 7 days after the buyer accepts if that comes first.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for following Texas A&M and 12th Man Foundation rules for student tickets, including any rules on transfers and resale, and for complying with the law. Student tickets may only go to current students.

Sellers must transfer only to the student they are matched with, by the handoff deadline, must not ask for extra money, and must repay us for any ticket they were paid for but didn’t send. Transfer screenshots must be real and unedited; fake proof gets an account banned. Buyers must confirm or report honestly, before the deadline, whether the ticket arrived. No side deals, and never share your 12th Man Foundation login or hand over your phone.

Fees

Buyers pay one all-in price that includes a flat $7 TicketHandoff service fee and card processing. Sellers receive their full asking price. All payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store card or bank account numbers.

To sell, you set up a Stripe account for payouts through our site and agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement (stripe.com/connect-account/legal), which includes the Stripe Services Agreement. Stripe may verify your identity before paying you.

Fees are refunded only as described in our Refund Policy.

Problems, reviews, and account restrictions

Either student can report a problem with a handoff. We may review reports, pause handoffs and payouts, and restrict or close accounts, including for not sending a ticket, false reports, overcharging, fraud, or misuse of the site. Our decisions are final for purposes of the site, but they don’t replace your legal rights against the other student.

Things you may not do

Post tickets you don’t have, create fake accounts, harass other students, share another student’s contact information outside the handoff, try to avoid the service fee, scrape or overload the site, or use the site for anything illegal.

Disclaimers

TicketHandoff is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee that a ticket will be sent, valid, or accepted at the gate, or that the site will always be available. We aren’t responsible for what other students do, or for decisions made by Texas A&M or the 12th Man Foundation.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, TicketHandoff is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid through TicketHandoff for the handoff involved, or $100, whichever is greater.

Changes and ending your account

We may update these Terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept the changes. You can stop using TicketHandoff at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account.
