The Student Section
Student tickets are digital. Add yours to your phone’s wallet before heading to the student entrance, and bring a charged phone. Seats are assigned by classification and deck preference: 1st/2nd deck, then 3rd deck east, south, and north, then standing room.

How are prices set?
Sellers post a ticket at any price. Buyers join the line with the most they’ll pay. The cheapest ticket is offered first, to the student who has waited longest and whose max covers it. You pay the seller’s price, not your max.
How does payment work?
Every payment goes through Stripe. When the buyer accepts, their card is put on hold for the full price. The seller sends the ticket, and the buyer confirms it arrived. The seller uploads a screenshot of the transfer, and TicketHandoff reviews it. The card is charged and Stripe pays the seller only once the transfer is verified or the buyer confirms it arrived. If the ticket doesn’t arrive, the buyer has to report it before the handoff deadline (24 hours before kickoff).
Is it safe? How do you stop scams?
You never pay a stranger directly. Payment happens only through Stripe checkout on TicketHandoff, your card is held rather than charged until the ticket is sent, and you get a full refund if it never arrives. Every account is a verified tamu.edu student, sellers verify their identity with Stripe to get paid, and anyone who doesn’t send a ticket is banned.
How do sellers get paid?
Sellers set up payouts once with Stripe (name, date of birth, and a bank account). When the handoff completes, Stripe pays the full asking price straight to their bank, usually within a couple of business days.
Can I change my price?
Yes. From the game page, sellers can change their asking price and buyers their max without losing their place, as long as an offer isn’t already out.
Can I send my ticket to a parent or friend who isn’t a student?
No. Student tickets can only go to current students, and the 12th Man Foundation app won’t transfer them to anyone else. For a non-student, buy a guest ticket during pull.
When does the ticket show up in my account?
Seat assignments land in your 12th Man Foundation account 24–48 hours before kickoff. You can match earlier, but the transfer happens once the ticket is there.
When is student ticket pull?
Pull starts 12 days before each home game: seniors and grad students Monday, juniors Tuesday, sophomores Wednesday, freshmen Thursday. Leftovers open Friday.
What if the seller disappears?
If the seller backs out or doesn’t send the ticket by the deadline, the buyer’s card hold is released and they go back to the front of the line. Buyers can back out before the ticket is sent and are only charged the service fee.
What does TicketHandoff charge?
Every price buyers see includes all fees: the TicketHandoff service fee (a flat $7 on football, 10% of the price for other sports) plus card processing. Sellers get their full asking price. If the seller backs out or never sends the ticket, the buyer isn’t charged.
